At the stroke of midnight, Elara slipped into the abandoned clockmaker’s workshop. Dust-covered gears lined the walls, and hundreds of clocks ticked in perfect unison, though none had moved for decades. On the workbench lay a silver pocket watch, its hands spinning backwards. The moment Elara lifted it, every clock fell silent.

A faint voice whispered from inside the watch: “Time has been stolen. Only the one who dares to turn back the final hour can restore it.” Elara hesitated, her fingers tightening around the cold metal. Beyond the window, the moon began to fade, as though something unseen were slowly swallowing the night.
