On Saturday morning, Inaayah woke up early and looked out of her window. The sky was bright blue, and the sun was already shining. She decided to ride her bike to the park with her brother, Leo.
When they arrived, they noticed a small crowd gathered near the pond. A family of ducklings had become separated from their mother. The ducklings were chirping loudly and seemed frightened. Inaayah and Leo carefully followed the ducklings while keeping a safe distance. After a few minutes, the mother duck appeared from behind some tall reeds. The ducklings quickly waddled towards her, and the crowd cheered.
Inaayah felt proud that she had helped by staying calm and making sure the ducklings were safe.
R- What day did Inaayah wake up early?
I- Why do you think the ducklings were chirping loudly?
C- Why do you think the author chose the word "frightened" to describe the ducklings?
