Read the poem Save the Bears. Can you spot the pronouns?

Save the Bears!

Do you see that bear cub?

His coat so white and pure?

That’s not how it will be,

Unless we take action, right now.

The ice is melting, the temperature’s rising,

And the polar bears are in trouble.

We need to act, or they’ll all die.

 We can’t let that happen,

it would be such a shame.

So let’s all do our part,

and do what we can,

To save these bears from extinction.

It won’t be easy, but it’s worth a try.

For the sake of those little cubs,

Let’s save the bears!

Task: Use the words below to write down some rhyming words which you can use in your independent poem.

LC: To learn a simple poem and perform it.

Polar Bear’s Ice

A polar bear on ice so white,
Walking softly, day and night.

The ice is melting, drip, drip, drip,
Splash goes water—slip, slip, slip.

“Where’s my home?” the bear might say,
“It’s getting smaller every day.”

He looks for fish, he looks around,
But less and less ice can be found.

Let’s help the Earth, both you and me,
To keep the ice for bears to be.

Turning Points in Jesus’ Last Week

Theme: Big changes during an important time

Key events to mention simply:

  • Jesus enters Jerusalem (people celebrate)

  • The Last Supper (special meal with friends)

  • Jesus is arrested (things suddenly change)

  • The crucifixion (a very sad moment)

Key message:
Things went from happy to sad very quickly—this was a big turning point.

Question:
“How do you think Jesus’ friends felt when everything changed?”

Reflection:
Even in difficult times, important things can happen.

Optional prayer:
“Help us stay hopeful even when things feel sad or confusing.”
