LC: What is urbanisation and what effect does it have on the environment?
We have learned that human activity can and does have harmful effects on our environment.
We have also learned that if we are responsible citizens who are concerned about our environment, there are actions we can take to reduce or stop the damage humans are making.
Let's learn about urbanisation and conservation to help us understand a little more.

Write a persuasive argument that tells the reader that urbanisation is important OR Write a persuasive argument that tells the reader that conservation is important.
You will write three points. For each point, include some evidence and an explanation of why this supports your point.
Here is an example:
(Point)Urbanisation helps to improve people’s living standards. (Evidence) Urban areas are places where people can find jobs, set up new businesses and be creative and inventive. (Explanation) It is important to have people working in urban areas as the money they earn will then be spent in other businesses: for example, people working in an office may spend money in local shops and cafes. The wealth of the area increases, other jobs can be created and money can be invested into other things to improve the area. This will improve people’s quality of life.
