What is Eid?

  • Eid is a special celebration for Muslims.

  • Eid al-Fitr is celebrated at the end of Ramadan.

  • Ramadan is when Muslims fast during daylight hours to focus on God, kindness, and self-control.

How Muslims Celebrate Eid

Explain using simple steps:

  1. Special prayers

    • Muslims go to the mosque or pray together at home or outside.

  2. Wearing new or best clothes

    • This shows respect and happiness.

  3. Giving to charity

    • Muslims give money or food to help people in need.

  4. Family and friends

    • Families visit each other and say “Eid Mubarak” (Happy Eid).

  5. Food and celebrations

    • Special meals and sweet treats are shared.

  6. Gifts for children

    • Children may receive money or presents.
