LC: To suggest how the beliefs in the Holy Spirit influence how Christians worship.

Christians believe that the Holy Spirit is God's invisible power that helps people live good lives, make kind choices, and feel close to God.

We are going to listen to a Christian song.

Think about the lyrics and how they link with what we have learnt about the Holy Spirit.

Music is a very important part of Christian worship. It helps people feel closer to God and makes worship joyful and special. Christians sing hymns in church.

Different forms of communal worship

Sunday Church Services

Most Christians go to church on Sunday.

They sing songs (hymns), listen to Bible stories, pray together, and hear a talk (sermon).

Holy Communion

This is a special meal where Christians remember Jesus.

They eat bread and drink wine (or juice), just like Jesus did with his friends at the Last Supper.

Baptisms

When someone is welcomed into the Christian family.

It usually happens in church with water and prayers.

Weddings and Funerals

Christians come together to celebrate a marriage or remember someone who has died.

These are also special acts of worship.

Prayer Groups and Bible Study

Sometimes Christians meet in small groups at homes or church.

They read the Bible, talk about God, and pray together.

Festivals like Christmas and Easter

Christians come together to celebrate Jesus’ birth and resurrection.

Churches are decorated, special songs are sung, and people often share meals.

Talk Partners
