Canal Safety Talk 11.00 - 11.30

Can you investigate the importance for humans of exercise?
Exercise or physical activity is vital for building strong bodies and healthy habits. Regular movement—through active play or sports—makes the heart, lungs, and muscles work harder, helping children grow fitter, maintain energy levels, and improve their classroom concentration.
There are lots of ways to be physically active including:
- walking
- cycling
- dancing
- playing sports
What physical activity have you taken part in?
What happens to your body when you run on the MUGA for daily PE?
In your science book can you explain why exercise is important for humans?

You are going to create a picture of you’re favourite physical activity using the art straws.

Can you join fabrics by using running stich?
Today we are going to decorate our finger puppets!
You’ve all done a brilliant job making them, and now it’s time to add the finishing touches. You can use colours, fabric, buttons, or anything fun provided to bring your puppet to life.
Think about what your puppet is — maybe it’s an animal, a person, or even a made-up character! Be creative, take your time, and most importantly, have fun. We can’t wait to see your amazing designs, Year 2!
