Today we are going to use the Diary Entry Plan to complete a diary entry in the role of Paddington.
Your teacher will show you a WAGOLL.
Dear diary,
Today I got into trouble with a ticket inspector because I got on a train but forgot to buy a ticket! I gave my sandwich to a squirrel and rushed on without thinking. The ticket inspector asked for my ticket, but I didn’t have one! I felt scared and not sure what to do. Luckily, Mrs. Bird was on the train. She helped me and gave the inspector a spare ticket. Next time, I’ll remember to buy one before I get on!
What communities matter most to you and why?

Is being part of a community the same for everyone?
What unites my community?
Over the last few weeks, we have been learning about what unites the Christian community:
- churches- a places for some to come together to worship
- symbols
- songs and prayers
- beliefs and values
Whether we follow a religion or not, we all belong to different communities. Let's take a look at the values of Stoneyholme Community Primary School.
'Where Everyone Matters and Every Day Counts'
Let's explore our school website to find examples that match these values.
Write the question in your book and a sentence to show what belonging to a community means to you.
What communities matter most to me and why?
Example:
My school community matters to me because we all know it is important to look after ourselves, each other and our planet.
