Page 167-176

To write the second part (final) of the story including words (verbs) with -ed suffixes.

Today we are going to write the second part (final) of our very own independent story using inspiration from Thomas and his Friends.

 

Talk partner

Look back at your writing from yesterday, make a mental note of the skills you didn’t use and make sure you add those skills today!

 

- ed words

- joining word ‘and’ ‘but’ ‘because’

- when

- rhyming words

- contractions

- ‘un’ words

- exclamation mark

- capital letters for names

Talk partner
Read your writing from yesterday to your partners, check for any errors.

 

You could change what your train had in their trucks or change anything to make your story that more interesting.

 

Don’t forget your non-negotiable too:
 

- full stops

- finger spaces

- capital letters

- writing on the line

- using your phonic knowledge
