There are lots of things that in Year 1 that are the same in Reception:
- wear the same uniform
-learn Maths and Phonics
-sing songs
There are lots of new and exciting things to learn in Year 1:
we sit at tables and have our own trays
we have different coloured walls for different learning
we write in books!
We hang our coats up in the cloakroom, using the bottom pegs first.
We ask to go to the toilet. There is a toilet for the boys and a toilet for the girls.
We have a quiet yard for talking to our friends, reading or construction.
The house is called the Reading Retreat, we will go in and read books, do guided reading or phonics in there.
We must use walking feet on this yard!
Our fitness zone for using the gym equipment, hoops and skipping ropes.

We hold on with 2 hands and use the equipment properly.
If someone is on the equipment, we choose something else to do while they have their turn,
We don't stand and wait behind it.
There is another piece but this has tape around it because it is broken.
