Wednesday

Orally compose every sentence before writing.

Re-read every sentence to check it makes sense.

Drama lesson

Today you will need to read your writing from yesterday and create persuasive advert for the Train Controller so that he can decide which train he wants to join his team.

Then it will be your turn to perform it in the greenscreen room

To be able to describe volume using the terms 'half' and 'quarter'.

Revisit fractions learning-What is a half and a quarter? Show it with a piece of paper?

Fractions for Kids (Halves & Fourths) with Shapes | Khan Academy Kids- Watch on mute!

Mrs Hussain said it has to be C because it looks the same as E. Is that explanation good enough? Why, or why not? How many times you would need to pour something into container E to know that it measured half?

How many times to measure a quarter?

Reinforce  the meaning of 'capacity' and 'volume', and discuss their differences.

Your teacher will have a different selection of containers and some water. Complete the activity above.
