We have another letter received from the CBBC!
Dear Children
You did an amazing job with the train information TV shows - well done!
You did such a great job we would like to do another project for us...
We would like you to create a storybook for the Time for a Story episode of Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends.
We have heard that you are brilliant at writing stories and we know other children will want to read them.
Please send your storybooks to us when you have written them.
We are looking forward to reading your versions!
Best wishes

In order to write a story we need to read some Thomas the Tank Engine Stories, and then watch the episode in short bursts in order to write our own version.

Can we understand the toys we play with have changed over time as we have grown up?
We know that toys have changed from the past and present. Although they may look similar and be played with in a similar way, they are often made with different materials.
Lets look back at our learning walls and see what materials were used to make toys in the past.
Were toys in the past more expensive or cheaper than the present? Why?
Lets have a look at these rattles for babies - one is from the past and one is from the present, which do you think is past or present? How can you tell?

Today we are going to make a toy which was very popular in the past and the children in the past enjoyed!
