Thursday

For the next few days, you are writing your story independently.

Today you will focus on the middle of your story.

Characters Archive - Peter Rabbit

Can we understand the significance of a good communicator?

Why do Christians say the God is the Father?

Talk partners

As children what support do you think you need to grow and succeed?

A good communicator has a number of qualities.

-The first quality is listening, listening is important so you can respond to a question or reply to what is being said.

-The second quality is looking, looking shows you are interested in the conversation and you can see a reaction.

-The third quality is body language, if a person is gazing into the sky would this show they are a good communicator?

-The fourth quality is talking, being clear about what you want to say so the person you are speaking to understands.

-Are you a good communicator? How? Do you use any of the qualities we’ve just spoke about?

Let’s use the microphone icon on seesaw and record how you’re a good communicator.

Start your recording by saying:

 I am a good/not good communicator because…

I can improve by…

This half term we have been learned lots about Christianity. We have looked and gone through the following topics:

- the ingredients of a good parent

- the importance of prayer and the Lord’s Prayer

- who the Father represents

- why words, items and rituals are used in Christian prayer

- the importance of being a good communicator

Talk partners

Why do you think Christians call God the Father?

Can we describe the functions of different parts of a tree?

Can we sort and group parts of a tree using similarities and differences?

Part 1

Let's recap - Talk partners

Use what you know to tell your partner what each part of the tree does.

Now it's your turn to match a sentence with a description to the labelled photo of each part of a tree - Discussion

Part 2

To begin the second part of our lesson let's think about the similarities and differences between these pictures. Can we find the odd one out? How do we know?

Over the last few months, we have been learning about the names of common garden and wild flowers and trees, both deciduous and evergreen. We have also learning about the functions of each part.

Today is your turn to show what you know.
