Tuesday
To be able to tell a story based on given number bonds or draw number bonds to tell a story.
Lets make a number story using the picture below!

Lets think
What animals are on the lily pads and how many of each can you see?
Can we make a number bond using that information?
There are 4 frogs. There are 3 dragonflies. 4 and 3 make 7. There are 7 animals altogether!
Lets put this information on our part-part-whole diagram.

Activity time!
Number Bonds to 10
🐞 1 + 9 = 10
- 1 ladybird was on a leaf. 9 more ladybirds landed on the leaf. How many altogether?
🐸 2 + 8 = 10
- 2 frogs sat on a log. 8 more frogs jumped on. How many frogs are there now?
🐦 3 + 7 = 10
- 3 birds were in a tree. 7 more birds flew into the tree. How many birds altogether?
🐰 4 + 6 = 10
- 4 rabbits were hopping in a field. 6 more rabbits joined them. How many rabbits now?
🐝 5 + 5 = 10
- 5 bees were buzzing around flowers. 5 more bees arrived. How many bees altogether?

Lets create a number story using the picture above but only looking at the flowers!

Think how many pink flowers can you see and how many white flowers can you see?
