Say and hold in memory whilst writing, simple sentences which make sense including ‘he’.

We are going to read up to page 10. We are going to use copycat reading, my turn to read and then you are going to help me say the sentence from the book.

Have a look at these pictures.

What did he see? Who did he meet?

Which character is the pronoun ‘he’ referring to?

Talk with our partner.

We are going to write together some sentences starting with the word 'he'. (He went across the stream/He heard the frog's croak)

Can we add the joining word 'and' to the middle of our sentence, now we need to think of something else he saw. (He saw some birds and sheep.)

Now it's your turn. you are going to write a sentence starting with the word 'he'.

Make sure you use:

a capital letter at the start

use your phonics

spaces between words

use full stops.

You could have, if you want a challenge try to include the word 'and' in your sentence.

He saw

He heard

He went

Adaptive teaching- copy he saw and write an animal.

To control the types of marks made with the range of media.

Robert Gillmor was an artist who used his talent to help people see the beauty of birds and the natural world.

One of his favourite art techniques was linocut printing, where an image is carved into a piece of lino and then printed onto paper. Many of his bird pictures were made this way and are admired around the world.

  • 🐦 Robert loved watching birds from a young age.
  • 🎨 He created artwork for over 100 books.
  • 🌿 He spent much of his life helping people appreciate wildlife.
  • ✂️ He was well known for his beautiful linocut prints of birds and landscapes.
  • 🇬🇧 He received awards for his contributions to nature art and conservation.

We will be using pencils to draw lots of different kinds of lines.

Take a look at the lines in the pictures. Which will you try out?

How will you use your eraser to create an effect?
