LC: Discuss and recording ideas for planning

The British Museum is a famous museum in London, England. It's all about human history, art, and culture. Imagine a giant collection of about eight million items from all over the world! This museum tells the story of human culture from the very beginning until today. It first opened in 1753 and was the world's first public national museum. In 2023, over 5.8 million people visited, making it one of the most popular places in the United Kingdom.

The director of the museum has sent us this letter:

What was life like in Anglo-Saxon Britain?

Aspects you could select three from, or choose any others you have learned about.

Farming, Settlements, Beliefs, Children, Crafts.

Remember how to use each part of the plan.

Adapted

Write Anglo Saxons Crafts in the middle.

Draw pictures in the other circles - pottery, jewellery, glass. Write a sentence about each for your leaflet.

LC: To reflect on our own values and commitments and how we show these in everyday life.

Links to Ramadan

During Ramadan, Muslims show commitment to their faith through:

  • fasting

  • prayer

  • self-control

  • kindness and generosity

We are going explore how commitment isn’t just religious, but something everyone shows in different ways.

Think – Pair – Share:

  • What is something important to you? (family, friendship, sport, learning, faith)

  • How do you show commitment to this?

  • Is it easy or difficult? Why?

  • How is this similar to the commitment Muslims show during Ramadan?

Now answers these questions in your book. Remember to give lots of detail and demonstrate that you have reflected on these questions.
