LC: To use the conjunction 'although' within a complex sentence.

Although Tom forgot his lunch, his friend shared a sandwich with him.

Although the dog was small, it barked very loudly.

Although Mia was nervous, she did well in her school play.

LC: To orally rehearse a poem using tone, intonation, volume and action.

Tomorrow we are going to perform our poem in front of Year 4.

Today we need to practise our poem, so that it looks and sounds amazing!

What things do we need to think of when we are reading the poem?

Can you remember the actions we created yesterday?

LC: To listen to and discuss playscripts.

Playscripts

I am going to put you into groups of seven.

As a group, you will decide who is playing each role.

First, you must spend some time looking at the words in the script and the amount you will have to say.

Next, you will read the script as a group.

What three things are important when reading a text? Think about what we discussed last week when learning the poem 'My Tree and Me'.
