Tuesday

I can recount the life of someone famous from Britain, who lived in the past.

This half term we have learnt all about Sir Robert Falcon Scott. We have looked at the following:

  • Using enquiry skills to ask and answer questions about the past
  • Similarities and differences of our own lives and Scott's life
  • Ordering the key events of Scott's life
  • Significance of Scott's life

Talk Partner

Share what you know about Scott's life to help you with your recount.

We are going to record the key events from his life to help plan your recount.

Today we are going to start Revision 1 in our MNP books. Revision 1 is all the learning we have done so far in year 2. Learning today is INDEPENDENT.

Turn to page 111 and 112.

Can you describe how living things are suited to their habitat?

Most living things live in habitats to which they are suited and different habitats provide for the basic needs of different kinds of animals and plants.
We are going to research what makes each creature perfectly adapted to their habitat and imagine what would happen if living things wandered into other habitats (lion in the ocean, for example).

Work with your team to research if polar bears are suited to live in a hot desert.
