To be able to name positions, including left and right. 

 Where is the giraffe is in the line? 

 My friend said that 1st is always at the front of the line, but they were unsure how to tell where the front of a line was.

How do we know where the front of the line is? How do we know the lion is first and the elephant is last?

Discuss how ordinal numbers are also used to show position in everyday situations, for example, the supermarket checkout numbers and aisle number.

Today we are going to think about changes we can make to the story to write an invented version. We are going to keep the same plot with a beginning, middle and end. We are also going to use the time words first, after that and next, but it is our chance to create a new story.

If the first sentence started with Mrs Davison had a school, what would Zog learn to do? What problems might he have and who would help him? What would he achieve at the end?
