Talk with your talking partner about which types of sentences these are (all of the sentences are missing the punctuation mark at the end.) Use the words:

Statement  Question  Command  Exclamation

 

What a beautiful day it is to do some bird watching

Wash your hands for 20 seconds

Let's take a look at how different sentences have been used in this advert.

 

 

Why have they used a question? Who is supposed to answer it?

Can you find an example of a co-ordinating conjunction?

Can you find an example of a subordinating conjunction?

 

Today we are going to use different sentence forms like this to write a paragraph about one of the things to do at our attraction. We will model how to do this first.
This is a really great opportunity to show the different punctuation marks we have been learning to use throughout Year 2.
