Here are some words that you could use to improve the story...

How was Thomas feeling? Here are some ideas:

thrilled

excited

pleased

happy

delighted

tickled pink

full of beans

bright eyed and bushy tailed

What could Thomas say?

I'll toot and I'll hoot

I'll chuff and I'll puff

I'll steam and I'll dream

but I won't be late.

Modelled write for teacher-

Thomas was thrilled because he had been chosen to deliver the storybooks. He had to take them to the library. I musn’t be late for storytime. I’ll toot and I’ll hoot so I’ll be there on time! Or I’ll toot and I’ll hoot but I won’t be late!

Today we will be looking at time!

Today in maths we are going to check how much you remember about time?

If the long hand is on 12, what time is it?

Is it going to be O'clock or half past?

On your clocks in front of you can you show me the times -

6 O'clock

12 O'clock

9 O'clock

2 O'clock

Lets watch this song about time!
