Can we create an advertisement for our cafe?
We have now come to the final stage of our STEMterprise project. Today we are going to create a poster and an advert in the green screen room.

What is an advert?
Let’s learn.
Adverts encourage you to buy things. They use memorable words and short descriptions. They can be seen on TV, heard on the radio and printed on posters or within different texts.
Posters and leaflets use images and descriptions and include detailed information about products and services you can buy.
The question you need to answer in your advert is why should people buy your British seasonal yoghurt?
Remember your advert and poster is for your cafe, think about everything you have done so far in engineering (books) to help you:
- logo
- where your fruit comes from? (Cows and plants)
- British food flag yoghurt
- yoghurt design
- British food evaluation
Can we use words and phrases such as old, new, before (I was born), after (I was born), past, present, then, now and a long time ago to present our findings?
As Right Holders:
- attempt something new and give it our best try
- encourage others to play
- respect others' differences
- listen to the views of others
- take care of school resources and the environment
As Duty Bearers:
- Make sure everyone has the opportunity to be included
- Create an environment where everyone feels appreciated
- Provide spaces and resources for children to rest, relax and play
- listen to the views of others
Let's watch the video again that shows us how toys have changed within living memory.
As historians we have learned a lot about how toys have changed from the past to the present:
- what materials toys are made from
- how toys are powered
- how toys from the past are still played with today- even though they may have changed slightly
We have looked at toys from a museum to see how they have changed over the past 100 years. We have also used our knowledge and skills as engineers and scientists to make our own toys.
Today it is your turn to demonstrate what you have learned using the key vocabulary we have been using this half term.
Today in math we will be having a mini review to see how much you remember about British money!
We want you to complete the activity sheet to the best of your ability!
